Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account for StrikeSage: Fishing Diary (Android package name com.strikesage.app), and exactly what happens to your data when you do.

How to delete your account

Account deletion is done from inside the app:

Open StrikeSage and sign in.
Go to Profile → Delete Account.
Confirm that you want to delete your account.

For your security, before anything is deleted you'll be asked to re-authenticate (sign in again with Apple, Google, or your password, matching however you originally signed in). If you cancel this step, or it doesn't succeed, nothing is deleted and your account is left exactly as it was. Only once re-authentication succeeds does the app proceed to delete your data, and then your account.

What is deleted

Once re-authentication succeeds, StrikeSage deletes, in order:

Your catches, missed bites, and no-catch sessions, and any photos attached to them
Your subscription status record
Your reward/referral ledger (a technical record used only to prevent a referral or promo reward from being granted twice — it holds no personal information)
Any older-format data left over from earlier versions of the app, if you've had your account for a long time
Your account profile document
Your account itself (the sign-in record you use to access StrikeSage)

This is irreversible. If everything above deletes successfully, only then is your account itself removed — so a failure partway through never leaves your account deleted while data survives, or the other way around.

What is not deleted

Your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription is not affected by deleting your StrikeSage account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google — you need to cancel it separately, directly in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, or it will continue to renew.

Local backup files you've exported and saved or shared outside the app are also not affected — deleting your account only removes data from our servers.
